Summer ‘25 #2

What a wonderful morning! So proud of Otis’ tracking. Was it perfect, no but there were, in my mind,  so many positive take aways. When he was finished he was excited for the article find in the roped off short  grass parking area and so was I! I approached the start flag at an angle so he found the track and took off. There was some whining and staring at the tall grass on the far side of the road but patience won the day. (A truck had gone over the road after the track was laid.) The left turn was like his head was on a string but unfortunately the 3 minutes ended at the turn and in restarting the video I missed the turn. Super day!

  1. What a great job. Excellent track plan/lay, and excellent handling. He was brilliant (he’s also stunning against that green field). Your handling on both the road crossing and the left turn was spot on. And I laughed out loud at the final article—he was so proud of himself (as he should have been). I love that you’re playing with the hard stuff without adding age. Feel free (when you can) to do the 4 start tracks, and run them at different ages, maybe up to three hours for the oldest. They can be short, ideally will have a turn.
