One week since we have tracked. Otis has been in a boarding kennel while we have been away. He ate while we were away but not very well so food drops probably held even more value than usual. I started his new pattern this morning which was probably not the smartest idea for a green dog that has not tracked after a week HOWEVER after he found the first two food drops and a bit of deer poop he was: light bulb on, head down, fully engaged!
Double line up: peak of house between 2 trees
Track 1: Flag S5FD S5FD S5FD W3FD W3FD Repeated the pattern 3 times Sock Clip
Track 2: Flag Repeated above pattern 4 times Fleece pocket Clip
Track 3: Flag Repeated above pattern 5 times Brown cotton glove Clip
Tracks 2 and 3 were even stronger than Track 1 I felt as his head was fully back in the game
He picked up the article at end of each track and enjoyed the food, throw, return, play, repeat. A great day!
Fantastic! And what a great reward for him after coming out of the kennel he got to go TRACK!!! Sometimes we make questionable decisions, and they let us get away with them—good dog Otis!
